Lake Nona Style
The master-planned community has made a name for itself in Central Florida, and around the country, as one of the most innovative and futuristic new locales. Lake Nona's creator, Tavistock Development, has become known for it's sleek designs and high-end hangouts (think Chroma and Canvas) and they're in the process of adding one more to their portfolio. Enter, the highly-anticipated Lake Nona performance resort and spa. The project boasts 250 guest rooms and 80 condos and will be designed by Miami-Based Arquitectonica.
Now, What's All This Performance Business?
The resort will reside in close proximity to the USTA National Campus in what has been dubbed the Lake Nona Performance District. According to the OBJ, the resort will follow suit featuring extra large guest rooms designed for stretching and fitness equipment and fitness-designed mattresses that assist in recovery after training. These extra touches will be particularly appreciated by the athletes staying there since the project will serve as a home-away-from-home for them during training. As with everything in Lake Nona, the resort will revolve around health and well-being offering and on-site nutritionist, a 24-hour fitness facility, and even sports-focused television programming.
It's Not ALL Work and No Play
Athletes have to have some fun too, right? After training is over and it's time for some release guests can bask in the sun in a state-of-the-art crystal lagoon. If you're looking for something more active you can also participate in a friendly game of volleyball at the resorts 120,000-square-foot beach volleyball venue.
The resort is said to be completed in 2020, two short years from now. Here's a look at some newly-release renderings of the project:
